Michael is very active within the Insurance industry and recognizes the importance of education. Michael was the President of the Claims Managers Association for the Blue Nose Chapter from 2014 – 2016. Michael was also the President of the Canadian Independent Adjusters Association (CIAA) in Nova Scotia from 2018 – 2022.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Business with a Major in Accounting, is a Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) and obtained a Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation.
